Privacy: signing up for the launch
This page explains what we store when you sign up on adopteez.com before the launch on 15 November 2026, and what we use it for.
Who is responsible?
Adopteez is the data controller. You can always write to us at contact@adopteez.com.
What do we store?
- Your e-mail address.
- If you choose to tell us: whether you are adopted, an adoptive parent or other, your country of adoption and your country of residence.
- When you signed up and confirmed your e-mail, which language you used, and which version of this notice you agreed to.
- If you ticked the optional box: when you come back to the page. This uses a random code stored in your browser when you confirm your e-mail.
All visitors are also counted anonymously: page views per day, page, language and the website you came from. This count uses no cookies, and we store neither IP addresses nor anything else that can be traced back to you.
To stop abuse, we briefly count how many signups come from the same IP address. The IP address is only stored as an irreversible code (hash) and deleted after one day.
What do we use it for?
To tell you when Adopteez opens, and to give you the launch offer: 3 months free when you sign up for your first year. We use the countries and your role to see which groups should be ready from day one. We send no newsletters about anything else, and we never sell or share your details with others for marketing.
Legal basis
Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation). You can withdraw it at any time.
Who processes the data for us?
- Supabase: database in the EU (Ireland).
- Resend: sending e-mails. Resend is a US company. Transfers take place under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Vercel: hosting the website.
How long do we keep it?
If you do not confirm your e-mail, we delete it after 30 days. If you confirm, we keep your details until you unsubscribe, or until 6 months after the launch if you do not create an account.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe with the link in our e-mails. We then delete everything about you straight away. You can also write to us to see, correct or delete your details. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet.
